President Donald Trump on Thursday announced Fox News personality Jeanine Pirro will be appointed interim U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia.
“Jeanine is incredibly well qualified for this position, and is considered one of the Top District Attorneys in the History of the State of New York,” Trump wrote in a social media post. “She is in a class by herself. Congratulations Jeanine!”
Pirro served as a former state judge and former top prosecutor for Westchester County, New York, before becoming a television host.
