OnePlus confirms larger battery, bypass support for upcoming 13T

The launch of OnePlus’ latest flagship is on the horizon, and the company has now shown off details related to the battery and charging.

We already know a lot about the 13T, which will be released on April 24th in China. So far, OnePlus has confirmed the camera specs, the Snapdragon 8 Elite powering the phone, and the design.

The 13T will pack a large 6,260mAh battery, 260mAh larger than the OnePlus 13.

The company said it will also support bypass charging. Bypass charging allows the device to run directly from the connected charger, bypassing the battery, which will help extend the device’s lifespan. This will be best for running high-usage features like gaming.

Company president Louis Lee confirmed another feature: the rear camera will sport a 50-megapixel Sony IMX906 sensor. It will be paired with a 2x telephoto camera with support for 4x lossless zoom on a (projected) 50-megapixel sensor.

The 13T will have a 6.3-inch screen, an IP65 rating, a body weighing 185 grams, and, as mentioned earlier, the Qualcomm Snapdragon Elite 8 chip.

OnePlus is also running a spring sale, which includes the 13 and 13R series of devices. The Nord N30 5G and the 12 series of phones are also included.
