About the GNLU-CPIL Magazine

The Centre for Public International Law (CPIL) at Gujarat National Law University (GNLU), Gandhinagar, invites submissions for Volume I, Issue I of the GNLU-CPIL Magazine.

The Magazine serves as a platform for scholars, practitioners, and students to contribute to contemporary debates in Public International Law, Private International Law, Human Rights Law, Humanitarian Law, Foreign Policy, and related fields.

About the Centre for Public International Law (CPIL)

Established in 2010, the Centre for Public International Law (CPIL) at GNLU, Gandhinagar, is a leading research centre dedicated to advancing scholarship in Public International Law, the Law of the Sea, Maritime Law, and related disciplines.

The Centre actively engages in research, policy development, and academic discourse to contribute to the evolving international legal landscape.

Who Can Submit?

• Academicians, legal practitioners, policymakers, and students.

Submission Guidelines

• Word Limit: 3000-3500 words (exceptions considered on a case-by-case basis).
• Co-authorship: Allowed (maximum of two authors).
• Citation Style: OSCOLA 4th edition (No hyperlinks).
• Formatting: Garamond, Font Size: 12 (body), 10 (footnotes), Line Spacing: 1.5 (body), 1 (footnotes).
• Originality: Submissions must be unpublished and free from plagiarism.

Submission Procedure

• Submit your manuscript in .doc/.docx format via email to cpil@gnlu.ac.in.
• The subject line should be: “Submission for GNLU-CPIL Magazine – Volume I, Issue I”.
• The body of the email must include the author’s name, affiliation, academic qualifications, and contact details.

31st March 2025, 11:59 PM (IST)

Review & Publication Process

• The magazine follows a double-blind peer review process.
• The review period is approximately 6-8 weeks after submission.
• Selected articles will be published in Volume I, Issue I of the GNLU-CPIL Magazine.
