Walgreens is set to pay $97.8 million to multiple states to resolve claims it charged Medicaid, Medicare and other government health care programs for prescriptions never picked up by patients.

The U.S. Department of Justice and 50 attorneys general joined to settle the lawsuits United States v. Walgreens Boots Alliance Inc. and United States v. Walgreens Boots Alliance Inc.
