Florida AG Sues Target for Tens of Billions of Dollars

In his first legal action as Florida’s new attorney general, James Uthmeier announced a class action against Target, alleging the retailer misled investors by pushing diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, and LGBTQ+ Pride—which allegedly backfired, costing shareholders tens of billions of dollars.

The lawsuit also claims Target hid risks, violating securities laws and threatening first responders’ and teachers’ retirement security.
