CelaCare Technologies Inc., whose CEO sent $1 million worth of U.S. dollar coins on the Ethereum blockchain to the wrong wallet address, filed a notice of appeal Monday to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit over a dismissal granted by a federal judge last week in litigation involving Circle Internet Financial Inc.

Daniel Maland, a partner at Rennert Vogel Mandler & Rodriguez in Miami, and the immediate past co-chair of the Florida Bar Business Law Section Blockchain and Digital Assets Committee, said the plaintiff is in a sympathetic spot, having lost money, and he can understand trying to move mountains to recover those lost assets.
