Facebook-owned App Instagram has launched a new feature in the web version. Now Instagram users can also send DMs (direct messages) from web version. Prior to this, only mobile app users could use it. The company tweeted and reported the feature.

The use of social media in lockdown has increased. This feature has been launched to make it easier for web users of Instagram to communicate. This feature allows users to create videos, images and text from other users on their desktop.

This feature was tested on some users in January. It has now been launched globally.

Apart from this, a new sticker ‘Thank You Hour’ for story posting has also been launched in the app version. The user will have to post home with this sticker and the company will post the story of some selected users on their office account at 7pm.
