Data Comed From Insurify’s 2025 Auto Insurance Trends Report
The New Hampshire Insurance Department (NHID) announces promising news for Granite State drivers: New Hampshire is projected to experience a decrease in auto insurance costs in 2025, making it one of the most affordable states in the nation for full-coverage policies.
According to data from Insurify’s 2025 Auto Insurance Trends Report, New Hampshire drivers paid an average of $997 for full-coverage auto insurance in 2024. This figure is already significantly lower than the national average. Moreover, projections indicate that the cost will decrease further to approximately $981 in 2025, marking a 2% reduction.
“With this anticipated rate reduction, Granite Staters will retain access to a diverse range of competitive insurance options, free from the burden of soaring premiums experienced elsewhere in the country,” said Insurance Commissioner DJ Bettencourt. “These projections highlight our regulatory success and showcase the vibrant competition among insurers in our state. By promoting a free-market philosophy fueled by choice and innovation, we empower consumers to make informed decisions, ensuring quality services and fair pricing for all.”
Compared to other states, New Hampshire remains among the most cost-effective locations for auto insurance. Many states are facing rising premiums due to factors such as inflation, vehicle repair costs, and severe weather incidents. However, New Hampshire’s insurance market continues to offer stability and affordability for policyholders.
