Virgin Plus raises prices to match Fido

[ad_1]

Yesterday, we wrote about Fido ending its Lunar New Year deals and raising prices. Now, Virgin Plus has raised its prices to match.

The Bell-owned wireless provider increased two plans. First, the $40/50GB 4G plan was raised to $45, and the $50/75GB plan was raised to $55. Virgin also killed an 8GB data bonus it offered on those plans.

Virgin Plus' $45/50GB and $55/75GB plans.

Nothing else has changed with the plans. They still include unlimited Canada-wide calling and international texting (sent from Canada), 4G data speeds capped at up to 150Mbps, and other standard features like call display and voicemail. The plans just cost more now.

At the time of writing, Koodo still had the $40/60GB promo plan along with a $50/75GB plan. Fido, notably, brought back data bonuses on some of its plans after removing them yesterday.

Notably, compared to Freedom’s new plans, Virgin’s offers aren’t the best value.
