SISS Data Services appoints Steve Kemp as Head of Strategic Relationships to expand bank and enterprise client partnerships

SISS Data Services has appointed Steve Kemp as Head of Strategic Relationships to expand partnerships with banks and enterprise clients in Australia and New Zealand.

Headquartered in Sydney, SISS has more than 10 years’ experience as an Australian-owned and operated provider of secure data sharing via direct feeds and open banking.

Today, SISS is the leading independent supplier of digital financial data solutions for small business accounting services and ERP software programs.

“With cyber risk being top of mind, banks and other large enterprises are shutting down unsafe data sharing practices like screen scraping,” said Grant Augustin, Founder and CEO of SISS Data Services.

“As a result, we’re seeing a surge of interest in direct data feeds and open banking, and I’m delighted to welcome Steve onto the SISS Data Services team,” Augustin added.

Steve Kemp has now stepped into this role full-time. His previous professional experience includes senior leadership positions at Intuit, Commonwealth Bank and Westpac.

Businesses using SISS’s solutions avoid the problems of manually collecting and entering bank balances and financial transactions for bookkeeping, tax reporting, loan applications and operational decision-making.

Open Banking in Australia is part of the federal pro-competition Consumer Data Right (CDR) regime which went live in banking in 2020, then expanded to energy in 2022, and will include non-bank lending from 2026 onwards.
