LG Electronics is showcasing a suite of artificial intelligence (AI)-driven home solutions at IFA 2025 in Berlin.

The company is highlighting its approach to integrated, AI-powered appliances under the theme “LG AI Appliances Orchestra,” demonstrating how devices can work together to improve everyday convenience, personalisation, and energy efficiency in the home.

AI in harmony

Central to LG’s presentation is the LG AI Home ecosystem, which visitors at the event can explore through interactive displays. The aim is to show how LG’s core AI technologies enable tailored support for daily living tasks and how these solutions adapt to modern lifestyles.

In addition to consumer-focused experiences, LG is also providing a dedicated B2B consultation space at its booth to showcase the advantages of its latest home appliances and core component innovations in the European context.

Feature zones

The booth is divided into several themed zones. The “Hero Zone” features the LG AI Appliances Orchestra, presenting 21 AI-powered appliances all synchronised via LG ThinQ ON, the company’s AI home hub. This set-up, according to LG, is intended to exemplify the seamless operation and intuitive user controls offered by LG AI Home solutions.

The “Fit&Max Zone” recreates contemporary living spaces, focusing on integrating LG appliances – designed with local preferences and functions – into everyday life. The “AI Core Tech Zone” presents the company’s AI-enhanced components, such as the AI DDTM motor, providing visitors with information about improvements in appliance performance resulting from AI integration. Meanwhile, the “AI Home Solution Zone” illustrates real-world cases where LG AI facilitates connections between appliances, Internet of Things (IoT) devices, and third-party services to streamline tasks and reduce routine effort.

Product launches

LG is introducing a range of new AI-powered home appliances aligned with modern consumer demands, emphasising energy efficiency and user experience. The range includes smart refrigerators that utilise AI-driven compressor operations combined with upgraded insulation, designed to prolong food freshness and lower energy usage. One particular design feature, the Zero Clearance Hinge, allows refrigerator doors to open fully even when placed flush against a wall, supporting flexible installation in smaller or crowded spaces.

AI-enabled washing machines and dryers form another part of the new line-up. These appliances feature increased automation for different fabric types and expanded touch controls via larger LCD displays to aid intuitive use.

The company’s new vacuum products address various cleaning needs and preferences. The line-up includes a robot vacuum with a steam mop, a built-in robot vacuum station, a stick vacuum, and a wet-dry stick vacuum. The built-in robot vacuum station, which fits under kitchen sinks, offers a space-saving solution. According to LG, the wet-dry stick design minimises wrist strain, aiming to make cleaning more comfortable for a variety of users.

To improve accessibility for all users, LG has unveiled the LG Comfort Kit. This series of accessories is designed to make appliances easier to use for individuals of all ages and abilities.

Immersive demonstrations

Within the “AI Home Solution Zone”, visitors are able to observe LG’s ThinQ AI and ThinQ ON operating together. Demonstrations include ThinQ AI recommending healthy meal options, automatically preheating ovens, recognising individual users via voice commands, and adjusting home lighting, temperature, and music based on personal preferences.

Two other software platforms are on display: ThinQ UP, which adds new functions to existing appliances through software updates, and ThinQ Care, which monitors and maintains appliance performance to support long-term reliability.

Expanding the AI Home experience beyond the household, LG is presenting “Spielraum”, described as an AI mobility space solution. This solution is intended to bring the LG AI Home platform into vehicles, providing continuous connectivity and a unified experience as people move between home and car.

Company perspective

“At IFA 2025, we’re presenting differentiated value with the LG AI Home solution, which leverages our AI core technologies to intelligently harmonise with the rhythms of customers’ lives. Our appliances are designed to complement modern lifestyles and living spaces, evolving with each user to deliver personalisation, ease-of-use and energy efficiency,” said Lyu Jae-cheol, president of the LG Home Appliance Solution Company.
