Apple Vision Pro Owners Have A New Harry Potter Immersive Environment To Enjoy

HBO has announced an update to its Apple Vision Pro app that will add a new environment for owners to enjoy, a Harry Potter one, to be precise.

The new environment, dubbed Hogwarts Great Hall, is an immersive environment that will show off the iconic hall from the popular Harry Potter movies, straight out of the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

The new environment includes both Day and Night versions of the hall, with floating candles and those incredibly long tables that we are all so familiar with. There are even some sound effects for Harry Potter fans to get their ears into.

The new immersive environment is available via the updated HBO Max app, so you’ll need to make sure that you’re using HBO Max version 6.2.0 or later in order to gain access to it. Your Apple Vision Pro headset will also need to be running visionOS 2.6 or later to take advantage of the new Harry Potter experience, too.

As Ben Geskin on X points out, the Day and Night versions of the hall actually offer some functional uses, not just cosmetic. “Day mode for browsing, Night mode for playback. Perfect for rewatching Harry Potter,” the content creator noted.
