Leaker Sonny Dickson has posted photos of what’s being called an iPhone 17 Pro clone. At first glance, it looks like Apple’s next flagship, but a closer look reveals it’s actually running Android… heavily disguised as iOS 18.

That’s where it gets funny, the actual iPhone 17 Pro will launch with iOS 26, Apple’s big software redesign that looks nothing like iOS 18. In fact, iOS 26’s interface is fresh enough that you wouldn’t mistake it for older versions. So whoever made this clone is not just faking the hardware, they’re also faking the wrong software.

The one thing they did get right? The wallpaper. It matches one of the default designs seen in recent leaks. Although, let’s be real, when the real iPhone 17 Pro lands, it will probably ship with its own exclusive, device-specific wallpaper anyway.

What’s most surprising here is the timing. The actual iPhone 17 Pro is still a month away, yet someone has already pushed out a fake, basing it purely on leaks, renders, and rumors. It’s a strange mix of dedication and shamelessness.
