The $156 billion increase of defense spending should increase shareholder values of major defense stocks. The $25B increase for missiles and hardware would go to companies like Lockheed Martin (LMT); The $29B increase for shipbuilding would go to companies like General Dynamics (GD).
LMT remains flat at around $480
GD got a slight 6% increase from around $280 to $297
The only stock we see going up is Palantir (PLTR), from $134 to $151 since the bill was signed on July 4 but, that was rapidly rising anyhow before the BBB.
So, no significant increase in shareholder values of major defense stocks after the BB was signed. What is your opinion as to why?
