1. China Construction Bank manager accused of accepting bribes from Vesttoo employee
   A former China Construction Bank employee is facing bribery charges in Hong Kong, accused of accepting payments in a crypto currency amounting to US $470,000 from a Vesttoo employee, to authenticate false letters of credit and collateral documentation.
2. Catastrophe bond issuance already tracking to second biggest year on record in 2025
   Catastrophe bond issuance in 2025 has continued at record pace and already this year is on-track to be the second biggest ever for cat bond issuance, once the current pipeline has settled, with only a further $815 million required to break the annual market record as well.
3. MGA’s growing use of sidecars and ILS partnerships opens up additional capital: Gallagher Re
   Expanding use of third-party capital, reinsurance sidecars and partnerships with insurance-linked securities (ILS) investors is opening up additional sources of capital for managing general agents (MGA’s), which broker Gallagher Re says helped replace capacity from major reinsurers that have reduced their participation in the MGA marketplace.

   Bermuda-domiciled special purpose insurer Sailfish Re Ltd. issued a $30 million tranche of private catastrophe bond notes for an unknown sponsor that we later learned to be Lilypad Insurance, under a Koi Re Series 2025-1 issuance.

6. Tangency Capital hires Alison Wallis as Investor Relations Manager
   Tangency Capital Ltd., an investment manager in the insurance-linked securities (ILS) space with a focus on reinsurance quota share instruments, has hired former Twelve Securis capital raising and investor relations specialist Alison Wallis as its new Investor Relations Manager.
7. Cat bond market’s role growing within Florida’s reinsurance sector: Fuller, Guy Carpenter
   The catastrophe bond market is playing an increasingly important role in the Florida reinsurance landscape, as growing investor appetite drives competitive pricing and offers much-needed capacity relief for carriers, according to Randy Fuller, Managing Director at Guy Carpenter.
8. Everest seeks $450m+ retro with two Kilimanjaro Re II catastrophe bond series
   Everest Re, the global reinsurer arm of Everest Group, is back in the catastrophe bond market with a two series issuance that seeks at least $450 million of collateralized retrocession split across four and five year terms, under Kilimanjaro II Re Ltd. (Series 2025-1) and Kilimanjaro II Re Ltd. (Series 2025-2) transactions.
9. Andy Marcell named CEO of Aon Global Solutions
   Aon has announced that Andy Marcell has been appointed CEO of Global Solutions, a key role aimed at further integrating Aon’s Risk Capital and Human Capital capabilities.
10. Catastrophe bonds hit $15bn in 2025 after biggest month ever in May. Market grows 15%
