Takeaway: This year has seen its fair share of litigation involving pet food companies, including a suit filed in a California court this month against the pet food company Stella & Chewy’s, alleging it partnered with TikTok to install tracking software that collects users’ data through “fingerprinting.” Last month, pet food and supplies companies Royal Canin and Pet Products Plus were slapped with a false advertising class action for allegedly labeling their products as “health nutrition,” but many of the ingredients were purportedly unhealthy.
