Van crashes into Midland’s only bank branch, strikes ATM

A Fifth Third Bank branch in Midland, North Carolina, was struck by a van in a massive crash. This is the only bank branch within the community, according to a report by WSOC-TV.

Witnesses described the van flying through the air and slamming into the bank, striking its ATM. Emergency responders had to airlift the driver to the hospital while deputies removed the ATM.

There is no evidence of what caused the crash, although some locals suspect it was a robbery attempt.
