Chinese robotics firm Unitree on Tuesday unveiled its latest quadruped robot, the Unitree A2. Weighing around 37 kilograms, the A2 offers an unloaded range of up to 20 kilometers and a top running speed of five meters per second. It can climb one-meter obstacles and carry a 100-kilogram adult, or travel more than 12 kilometers for three hours with a 30-kilogram load, according to Unitree. Equipped with an ultra-wide-angle LiDAR system, the A2 is said to perceive complex terrain in real time and maintain stability on gravel, steep slopes, and other challenging environments.
