Telus offers free TV, PS5 or Laptop for various promotions

Telus has a ton of cool deals live right now for back-to-school including a free Lenovo Thinkpad or a PlayStation 5.

If you want to get the laptop, you need to sign up for a Telus PureFibre 250 plan on a two-year term at $100 per month. This plans includes internet speeds of 250Mbps and unlimited usage. The laptop is a ThinkPad E-Series with a Risen 5 processor, 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD.

If you decide to bundle your home internet with Optik TV ($160 per month) on a two-year term you’ll be gifted a free 55-inch 4K Samsung TV. It seems like a pretty decent mid-range TV and is no doubt a good free perk. If you cancel early before the end of your two-year contract you’ll need to pay back $720-$30 for every month your had the service to compensate for the TV.

The final free tech promotion that Telus has is for a Sony PlayStation 5 digital console. This is available alongside the same $160 TV/Internet plan as the TV so it seems like you will only be able to choose from the TV or the PlayStation without being able to stack them.

You can also sub out either the TV or the PlayStation for a $400 prepaid Visa or $35 per month for your two year contract if you decide to turn down all these bonuses. That said, $35 per month over two years turns out to be the highest value promo since it’s worth a little over $800.
