During Tuesday’s trading session, shares of a part of the Tata Group and a licensed telecommunications services provider surged nearly 5 percent on BSE, after the company announced a partnership with McAfee to strengthen cybersecurity for MSMEs.

At 01:42 p.m., the shares of Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Limited were trading in the green at Rs. 59.23 on BSE, up by around 3 percent, as against its previous closing price of Rs. 57.72, with a market cap of Rs. 11,579 crores. The stock has delivered negative returns of around 35 percent in the last one year, and has fallen by over 8 percent in the last one month.

Tata Teleservices reported a decline in its revenue from operations, showing a year-on-year decrease of around 12 percent from Rs. 324 crores in Q1 FY25 to Rs. 284 crores in Q1 FY26.  Similarly, it reported a marginal rise in the net losses by nearly 1 percent YoY to Rs. 325 crores from Rs. 323 crores, over the same period.

Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Limited, a part of the Tata Group, is a licensed telecommunications services provider and holds Unified Licenses (UL) with Access Service authorisation for Mumbai and Maharashtra Licensed Service Area (LSA), serving the regions of Maharashtra and Goa, and Internet Services authorisation for ISP Category ‘A’ – National service area.
