Strategic Risk Solutions promotes Andrew Hupman to head of office for SRS Bermuda

Strategic Risk Solutions, Inc., an independent provider of insurance, reinsurance and captive management and consulting services, has promoted long-standing employee Andrew Hupman as its new head of office for SRS Bermuda.

Hupman has worked in the SRS Bermuda office since 2008.

Now, taking charge of operations there as the new head of the SRS Bermuda office, Hupman will continue to service his existing insurance clients, the company explained.

With this change, Jonathan Reiss will now become the Chair of SRS Bermuda.

Reiss will continue to provide services to his existing insurance entities, as well as insight to the Bermuda insurance and reinsurance industry, SRS explained.

Strategic Risk Solutions (SRS) provides insurance management, risk transformation and transaction facilitation services to the insurance-linked securities (ILS) market in Bermuda and other locations.

Using its range of reinsurance entities, SRS helps clients and investors transact collateralized reinsurance and ILS deals, including private catastrophe bonds.

Most recently we had learned that SRS managed unrestricted special purpose insurer (SPI) Sailfish Re Ltd. on behalf of reinsurance broker Lockton Re, a structured that issued a $30 million Sailfish Re Ltd. (Koi Re – Series 2025-1) private catastrophe bond transaction on behalf of sponsor Centauri Insurance in May 2025.

SRS also expanded its offering of ILS related services at the start of this year, including risk transformation, with the launch of a new SPI named Strata ILS Ltd., in partnership with insurance-linked securities (ILS) focused solution provider Jireh Risk Advisors Ltd.
