iOS 26 Public Beta 2 OTA Update Along With iPadOS 26, tvOS 26, macOS 26, watchOS 26 Released

Apple has today released the second public beta versions of iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS 26, tvOS 26, watchOS 26, and visionOS 26. These updates are available for people to download and install on their devices at home right now.

Apple announced these new software updates at WWDC on June 9 and immediately released the initial developer betas.

Those developer betas recently saw new 6th iterations made available for download. These new public beta updates are based on those releases.

It’s important to remember that these are still beta software updates and that bugs should be expected. We suggest only installing them on devices that are not mission-critical because of that.

iOS 26 and iPadOS 26

The iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 update can be downloaded via the Settings app and includes the new Liquid Glass interface language as well as updated features and apps across the board. It also revamps the way multitasking works on the iPad all over again. Now, iPad apps can run in macOS-like windows for the first time.

Developers can install the macOS 26 public beta 2 update via the System Settings app right now. It includes the same Liquid Glass refresh as the rest of the Apple lineup, as well as updates to Apple Intelligence and more. We definitely suggest avoiding installing this update on your main Mac, especially if you use it for work.

tvOS 26

The tvOS 26 update is smaller and less interesting than the rest, but if you must install it, you can get it via the Settings app right now. Among the smaller updates this time around are relatively minor changes to the Apple TV app interface.

watchOS 26

Apple has tweaked the watchOS interface to match the Liquid Glass look and feel found elsewhere. If you want to update your Apple Watch to this second public beta, download it via the Watch app on your iPhone. Keep in mind that Apple Watches can’t be downgraded if you have any issues, though.

visionOS 26

Like most of the Apple lineup, the Apple Vision Pro can be updated via the Settings app. The new update adds persistent widgets for the first time, making for a much more advanced experience for people who want to set up a persistent digital workspace.
