Global X ETFs Australia launches lowest-cost ETF tracking ASX 300 companies

Global X ETFs Australia has today launched the Global X Australia 300 ETF (ASX: A300), the lowest-cost exchange traded fund (ETF) which provides exposure to the largest 300 Australian companies on the share market.

A300 tracks the performance of the top 300 Australian companies listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) via the FTSE Australia 300 Index. With a management fee of just 0.04% p.a., A300 is the lowest cost ETF of its kind, almost half the cost of Vanguard’s Australian Shares Index ETF (VAS), which also tracks the top 300 companies listed on the ASX. A300 provides a ‘vanilla’ core holding for investors looking for a simple, cost-effective way to access the local economy.

“Our new Australia 300 ETF is designed to meet strong investor demand for low-cost exposure to Australian equities. It also broadens investors’ exposure to small-cap companies, which are some of Australia’s fastest growing and foundational to our market,” said Marc Jocum, Senior Product and Investment Strategist at Global X.

While our focus remains on investment innovation, A300 provides a core offering, enabling investors to access a diverse range of Australian companies, as well as to reap dividend income, through a single trade on the ASX,” he said.

The launch marks the fifth product release this year for Global X and represents a strategic expansion into core portfolio building blocks, complementing its existing lineup of innovative and thematic ETFs.

Global X now manages over $11 billion in assets and has welcomed more than 18,000 new investors in 2025 to date.
