The parents of a 16-year-old boy, Adam Raine, sued OpenAI Inc. and its founder, Sam Altman, in San Francisco state court Tuesday, accusing the ChatGPT maker of encouraging Raine to take his own life and helping him to plan a death by suicide earlier this year.
