Indian Journal of Criminology is a peer-reviewed academic publication jointly managed by the Indian Society of Criminology & Centre for Criminology and Victimology, National Law University Delhi.

Since 1973, the Indian Journal of Criminology has been dedicated to the advancement of scholarly research, discourse, and examination pertaining to various facets of criminology in India.

National Law University, Delhi, is calling for paper submissions for the upcoming Indian Journal of Criminology Volume 53 (2).

  • Forensic Science and Other Related Subjects

Submission Guidelines

  • Full Paper/Manuscripts shall be submitted to the Editor at indianjournalofcriminology@nludethi.ac.in
  • All submissions must be accompanied by a cover letter that includes the Author’s Name, Institutional Affiliation, and the Paper’s Topic. In the case of co-authored papers, detailed information about both authors must be provided.
  • A declaration to the effect that the manuscript is the author’s original work has not received prior publication, and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. (attachment)
  • Manuscripts must be in English and should be submitted in soft copy through email.
  • The preferred maximum length for an Article is 7000–8000 words,an Essay is 5000–6000 words, a Note/Comment is 3000–4000 words, and a Book Review is 1500–2500 words, including an Abstract (200–250 words) and Footnote(s).
  • All manuscripts shall include an Introduction and a Conclusion.
  • It shall include an abstract of not more than 200 to 250 words
  • The manuscripts should be typed, written and double-spaced on A4-size Bond paper. The matter should be typed on one side of the paper only, with a wide margin. The length of an article is 15 typed pages. Symbols, formulas and equations must be written clearly and with great care. Excessive, lengthy tables and graphs should be avoided.
  • References are to be written according to the Harvard Method by giving the author’s name and date of publication in the text, for example (Smith, 2019). The list of References at the end of the paper should be in alphabetical order of authors.

  • Book reviews must contain—the name of the author/editor and book reviewed, place of publication and publisher, year of publication, number of pages, and price.
  • The list of references should be at the end of the paper and in alphabetical order of authors in the following form.
    • Pankal, J.J. (1973). An Agenda for Criminology
    • Indian Journal of Criminology, 1(1). 1-5.
  • Quotations within a sentence must be enclosed in double quotation marks (“ ”). A quotation within a quotation should be enclosed in single quotation marks (‘ ’).
