UK authorities confiscated seven cryptocurrency ATMs and arrested two individuals in London for alleged money laundering and operating a cryptocurrency exchange illegally, according to a report by Coin Telegraph.

The UK Financial Conduct Authority and Metropolitan Police carried out the act.

The UK has been cracking down on cryptocurrency ATMs since it passed a law that all crypto ATMs must be registered with the FCA.

Currently, no one has registered a crypto ATM with the FCA. The FCA first began cracking down on cryptocurrency ATMs in 2023 for lack of registration.
