Pricing and Availability in India

  • The initial models of Norton will be brought in as Complete Built Units (CBUs) by TVS and then local assembly will commence at its Hosur plant. India-UK free trade is likely to provide tariff reduction from 100% to 10% under quota, allowing to set a competitive price in the premium segment. V4 SV price is estimated at 50 lakh ex-showroom, which is aimed at high-income customers and superbike enthusiasts, and Commando 961 is set at 20.99 lakh on-road price, placing it directly in competition with motorcycles such as Triumph Thruxton and BMW R nineT.
  • Premium Norton dealerships will launch in a few metro cities with tailored retailing along with servicing. TVS strives to improve the presence of Norton in the upper middle class through production in India by using its wide distribution network and infrastructure supporting customers after the sales.

Competitive Landscape

The entry of Norton will intensify competition in the premium motorcycle market of India that currently has Royal Enfield and a few premium priced overseas brands as leaders. Norton is launching its most premium bikes with the aim of developing a good brand picture-as Triumph did with its highly successful bikes the Speed models. Subsequently, beginning 2026, Norton (aided by TVS) will introduce more affordable bikes that will fall in the category of 350-450 ccs and 600-650 ccs to make it financially affordable by a larger number of people in India.

Bottom Lines

By the end of 2025, Norton Motorcycles will be in India officially by TVS. With the India-UK Free Trade Agreement and the intentions of producing bikes in the country, there will be more competitive prices. It starts with the top-end V4 SV (₹50 lakh) and the sleek Commando 961 (₹20.99 lakh) aiming to charm bike lovers with its british modern tech and TVS’s wide reach. Its entry revives the legendary British motorcycle, now accessible to Indian riders.
