Nothing officially reveals Headphone 1 and $1179 Phone 3

Nothing has officially announced the Phone 3 and the Headphone 1, the company’s first-ever truly flagship device and over-ear headphones.

The Nothing Phone 3 has a strange design with a Glyph Matrix in the top right corner of the rear. The Glyph Matrix can display notifications, important alerts, games and more. You can get a countdown timer when taking a picture, a very powerful flashlight, it can show current volume levels, and show when NFC is being triggered. There’s a new button on the back that lets you cycle through different Glyph animations and long press to select one.

While the Glyph Matrix doesn’t show a full notification you can assign icons on the Matrix for unread notifications from specific contacts, apps and even keywords. You can also get a mirror for selfies, a 90s style clock and play spin the bottle, and rock paper scissors, and more to come including caller ID. This Glyph Matrix replaces the old Glyph Interface light show on the rear of the Phone 2.

The device comes in white and black and has two different capacity/memory configurations, 12GB + 256GB of storage and 16GB and 512GB (this variant costs $1,349). It sports the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, four 50-megapixel cameras, one with a 3x optical zoom, a primary rear-shooter, an ultrawide and selfie camera.

The front sports a 6.67-inch display with a 1260 x 2800-pixel resolution with up to 4500 nits of peak brightness, a 120Hz refresh rate and 1000Hz touch sampling rate. It also features a 5,150mAh battery with 65W wired charging and 15W wireless. It’s also IP68 water and dust resistant.

Out of the box it comes with Android 15, but the Phone 3 will have five years of Android updates and seven years of security patches.

The Headphone 1 costs $369.99 in Canada offers up to 80 hours of playback, real-time adaptive noise cancellation, gesture controls. The headphones weigh 329g and have a pretty unique design that’s very Nothing.
