New cameras with image stabilizer

The main camera of the Fairphone 6 offers a 50-megapixel sensor of the type Sony Lytia 700C in 1/156 “format, which uses a time-of-flight sensor and can take up videos with 4K resolution and 30 frames per second. There is also an optical image stabilizer in hardware. The second camera has one Ultra wing optics, a maximum aperture size of f/2.2 and a 13-megapixel sensor.

In its new model, the Fairphone team now also installs a larger battery that comes up with 4415mAh and can be loaded quickly with up to 33 watts. The battery is interchangeable with little effort, as the back of the Fairphone 6 can be opened with a simple screwdriver. This is also used if you want to use the new accessory products for the sixth generation fairphone.

In keeping with the device, the manufacturer now also offers a number of interchangeable cover for the lower half of the back. For example, a strap can be installed and there is an attachment with an integrated card holder. As before, most components of the Fairphone 6 can be easily bought with defects and replaced by the user themselves.

Android 15 runs as the operating system, for which new updates and operating system versions are to be offered for a total of seven years. New is a Fairphone Moments mentioned, which is activated via the slide switch attached to the side of the housing. Moments are a reduced mode that limits the number of apps available to five and is intended to help concentrate on the essentials.

The Fairphone 6 is also to be offered in the United States with a surcharge of a few hundred dollars, whereby only one version with the alternative operating system E/OS is offered. This variant is then completely free of Google and its services, whereby a pre -order for a sporty $899 is already possible.
