User Guide for CS-Cart POS Customer Screen

CS-Cart POS Customer Screen module enhances the checkout experience for customers.

It provides a transparent and engaging process through a customer-facing screen integrated with the CS-Cart POS system.

The customer can view the complete cart details on the screen.

The add-on also displays total orders, applied discounts, vouchers, and item quantities added to the cart.

NOTE: This module is a CS-Cart POS add-on, so you must first install the CS-Cart Point of Sale (POS) System on your system.

• It allows the admin to enable or disable the module.
• The admin can add the slide images and description
• The admin adds the description and slide images, which are then displayed as configured.
• Customers can view the cart details on the customer screen.
• Additionally, the POS screens can be visible to the customers.

Before installing the addon, it is mandatory to install Node, Socket, Express, and CORS packages.

Steps to install:

npm install node

npm install socket.io

npm install express

npm install cors

npm init -y

After downloading the CS-Cart POS Field add-on, you will get the zip file of the installer, a PDF, and an install.txt file.

Read the PDF carefully for configuration.

Navigate to Add-ons >> Downloaded add-ons and click on the settings icon. From here, you can manually install the zip file as shown below:

Now, click on Local to browse the zip file. Further, click on Upload & Install as shown below in the snapshot:

After installing the add-on, you will find CS-Cart BuyerCart in the list of available add-ons. We will then configure the settings.

Click on “settings” to enable, disable, install, or refresh.

Ensure the add-on is activated, as shown in the snapshot below.

After successfully installing the addon, we need to configure its settings.

• Server Connection Origin: Domain that initiates the server request.
• Server Connection Port: Endpoint used by a server to listen for and accept incoming network connections
• Choose Protocol: Either choose HTTP or HTTPS.

HTTPS Certificate Files:

• SSL private key: Add SSL private key file.
• SSL certificate: Add SSL certificate.

Banners

• Feature Banner: Choose a banner that customers can see.
• Offline Alert Banner: Choose a banner that will appear even when the customer’s screen is inactive.

The admin must enter the POS redirect URL as: your-admin-URL/?dispatch=wk_pos.manage.

The Customer Screen option appears in the left menu of the Customer Cart Screen, as shown below.

Selecting the Customer Screen option prompts you to enable or disable the buyer screen.

When the Buyer screen is enabled, the customer screen navigates to the POS customer page.

It allows customers to view the order description and cart details on the customer-facing screen.

The admin adds the description and images, which are displayed on the customer screen and in the cart details.

Additionally, the background image will be visible on the customer screen.
