The U.K. Post Office has extended its partnership with Western Union for cross-border money transfer services.

Through this partnership, Western Union will act as the sole provider of this service for Post Office customers, according to a press release.

Western Union will expand its services beyond the current 4,000 Post Office branches to additional locations. The two companies will also engage in co-sponsored marketing campaigns and signage.

“I am delighted that Western Union will be our exclusive partner in Post Office branches going forward and this deal brings important benefits for customers and postmasters alike. Post Offices are trusted locations which offer the reassurance of a face-to-face transaction for those who are sending or receiving money from friends and family abroad, and we are expanding the availability of these services,” Neil Brocklehurst, CEO of Post Office, said in the release. “Under this new deal, postmasters and strategic partners will see more money in their pockets for each Western Union transaction which is a crucial part of the commitment to transform Post Office and deliver a ‘new deal for postmasters.'”
