London, England-based tech company Nothing is gearing up to launch a new smartphone on July 1, 2025, as well as some other new products like headphones. Now, we’ve gotten a good look at the company’s upcoming headphones thanks to a series of leaks.
Spotted by The Verge, leaker Arsène Lupin (@MysteryLupin on X/Twitter) and the ‘Nothing_fan_blog‘ on Instagram both shared leaks of Nothing’s Headphone (1). The videos and pictures reveal a lot about the headphones, from design to functionality, including what appears to be a 3.5mm audio connector.
Starting with design, the Headphone (1) sports an interesting shape. Unlike most headphones, which are circular or ovoid, the earcups on the Headphone (1) are rectangular with rounded corners. The inner portion of the earcup that actually rests around the ear is still ovoid, and the headphones sport a pill-shaped bump on top of the rectangular portion, but it still makes for a very interesting-looking design.

Along with the unusual rectangular design, the Headphone (1) features Nothing’s signature semi-transparent stylings and tons of buttons to control music playback, though it isn’t clear which buttons do what. Images show the headphones in silver and black colourways, but it’s not clear if there will be other colour options.
One earcup sports “Nothing Headphone (1)” branding while the other says “Sound by KEF.” KEF is a British audio company that makes speakers, headphones and more. The headphones presumably will support wireless audio and have batteries, but some of the images show what appears to be a 3.5mm wired connection. Nothing could be taking a page from other high-end over-ear headphones, which allow for a wired connection alongside wireless, for instance, when people want better audio performance.
Overall, the Headphone (1) seem interesting despite remaining unknowns. Thankfully with the full reveal slated for July 1, it won’t be much longer until we learn all we need to know. Plus, we already know the Headphoen (1) and Nothing’s upcoming Phone (3) set to retail at Best Buy in Canada, it looks like Canadians will have intriguing new tech options in a little over a week.
