Purchase brings INAB accreditation for ISO 13485 into Amtivo’s portfolio in Ireland

Certification, inspection and training service provider Amtivo Group has expanded its footprint in the West with the purchase of Galway-based BQAI. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
This acquisition brings INAB accreditation for ISO 13485 into Amtivo’s portfolio in Ireland, complementing an already broad range of accredited services including ISO 27001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001. In addition, BQAI’s clients will now benefit from Amtivo’s comprehensive suite of training courses, developed through years of experience and client success.

The acquisition of BQAI is the third in the Republic of Ireland for Dublin-based Amtivo Group as it builds a strong brand that leverages global expertise and resources, but remains committed to delivering a locally focused service with experienced auditors.
BQAI has extensive expertise in ISO 27001 and ISO 13485 in both the Irish and UK markets. Founder Declan O’Connor will continue to support the business in an auditing capacity, ensuring continuity and deep sectoral insight for BQAI’s clients.
