Judge Bars Trump Administration From Enforcing Perkins Coie Executive Order

Perkins Coie obtained summary judgment on Friday in their court case against the Trump administration, barring an executive order targeting the firm from going into effect.

U.S. District Judge Beryl Howell of the District of Columbia permanently enjoined the government from implementing the executive order “in any way,” directing the federal government to rescind all informal or formal guidance provided to employees related to the order, citing violations of the First, Fifth, and Sixth Amendments.
