Diebold Nixdorf has established a retail technology production line at its North America manufacturing facility in North Canton, Ohio, according to a press release. This expansion aims to enhance the company’s U.S.-based production capabilities for self-service checkouts and kiosk systems, ensuring greater continuity and localized delivery for domestic customers.
The production line is part of Diebold Nixdorf’s strategic approach to managing global supply chains and manufacturing, providing increased control and predictability. The company is already producing self-ordering kiosks for Tillster, a software and distribution partner, serving QSR chains. The North Canton facility will also manufacture self-service checkout solutions, including the modular DN Series Easy family, primarily for the grocery and general merchandise sectors.
“Diebold Nixdorf’s in-house manufacturing approach enables quick adaptation to customer demands, while the expanded U.S. manufacturing capabilities deliver more reliable supply chains, greater flexibility and the certainty that we can execute large-scale rollouts seamlessly and on schedule,” Perse Faily, chief executive officer at Tillster, said in the release.
