Bank of America aims to open more than 150 branches by the end of 2027 in 60 markets. It will open 40 this year and 70 in 2026, according to a press release.
In particular, Bank of America opened a flagship financial center in New York City, which also features a moving art installation to represent the city’s financial movement. The bank is also expanding into Idaho with the first branch to open in June 9 in Nampa.

Bank of America is providing other innovative services at branches such as on-demand American Sign Language interpreters available via QR code.
“Our continued investment in our financial center network reflects our commitment to meeting our clients where they are and how they want to bank with us,” Holly O’Neill, president, consumer, retail and preferred at Bank of America. “We are focused on creating spaces where financial specialists can meet with clients and help them achieve their financial goals.”
