Monsanto has petitioned the U.S. Supreme Court to review two more lawsuits alleging its Roundup pesticide caused non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
Friday’s petitions for writ of certiorari, one in a case that settled in Florida, and the other following an Oregon jury’s defense verdict, focus on the same argument that Monsanto, owned by Bayer, raised in its April 9 petition before the Supreme Court: That federal law preempted state law-based claims that it failed to warn about Roundup’s health risks.
