Regions Bank introduced a volunteer initiative for Financial Literacy Month in April. In particular, it will host Share the Good financial wellness events, according to a press release.

The goal of this initiative is “Building Financial Confidence.” The bank will participate in a number of events through Share the Good including:

  • Hold Next Step Path to Homeownership program with the Women’s Council of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers in Tampa, Orlando and Jacksonville.
  • Provide a budget simulation for students at Alabama A&AM University in Huntsville, Alabama.
  • Host a fraud-prevention session in Jackson, Mississippi.

“Increasing financial wellness is the right thing to do – to help ensure every person has the opportunity for financial success,” Leroy Abrahams, head of community engagement at Regions. “It’s also an investment in our communities. When people have a greater understanding of their finances, they make better decisions. By establishing a better situation today for themselves and their families, they’re also building generational wealth and creating a healthier economy. And that benefits all of us.”
