Celebrating with family and friends is one of the best parts of any festive period. It’s a time to connect, share laughs, and create beautiful memories, and food is often at the heart of it all! From delicious easter eggs, warm hot cross buns, moreish share platters and incredible meals, the food we enjoy together are often source of joy and tradition.

At The Healthy Mummy, we believe there’s no need to feel guilty for indulging a little. Festive celebrations are about balance, not perfection.
Savour those moments, listen to your body, and remember it’s okay to treat yourself. After all, good food shared with loved ones nourishes more than just your body, it feeds your soul. So, embrace the holidays without guilt, knowing that your healthy habits are still there to support you as you step back into routine, that’s where our Routine Reset Gap Week comes in!
It’s ok to feel out of routine after a holiday period. Don’t beat yourself up if you feel your nutrition isn’t where you would like it to be right now. Your diet will never be perfect, routines will be messed up occasionally. It is all a part of being human.
Says Kirby, our trusted Moshy Dietitian
So… What is a Gap Week exactly!?
A Gap Week is a time to slow down and get yourself prepared for the next 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge. Each Gap Week has a theme, such as Cleanse, Bulk Cooking, Slow Cooking, Ultimate Budget or Healthy Celebrations. Expert advice for getting back into routine
Kirby, our trusted Moshy Dietitian says, “Getting back on track can be challenging after being out of routine. But this is not a time to punish yourself by creating a strict exercise and nutrition regime. You don’t need to skip meals, workout more or avoid foods.”

Kirby has worked with clients from all walks of life in her many years as an accredited dietitian – and she understands that getting back to work and normal routine can feel overwhelming, see her tips below.
Here are a few nutrition tips to get back into the swing of things:
- Purchase or prepare some plan B meals (you may need a few for the first week back as you settle back into normal life)
- Purchase some nourishing convenient snacks, you can find inspiration here.
- Allow yourself to still eat the leftover chocolates, in the house after Easter – don’t throw them out and feel you need to detox or restrict yourself
- Prepare some meals that nourish you and make you feel energised (some of them might still be non-nutritious)
- Focus on regular eating, even if you felt you overate over the holidays!! You deserve to eat, even if you overate.
- Plan your shopping list out for the first week back from holidays, to feel organised and confident that you will have nutritious and nourishing foods available.

If you are still feeling unsure or require individualised support, we recommend seeking advice from an accredited dietitian or medical professional for a personalised nutrition plan.
Our sister brand, Moshy, offers a convenient online platform where you can connect directly with certified doctors and practitioners from the comfort of your home. Their supportive team of medical experts provides comprehensive guidance and creates tailored plans to address your specific needs, promoting sustainable and lasting results.
