Euler ILS Partners, the specialist Swiss insurance-linked securities (ILS) investment manager, has hired experienced capital raising specialist Alexander Loosley to its Executive Board, as Head of Capital Formation and Strategic Initiatives.
Loosley has spent years specialising in raising investor capital for fixed income and securitized alternative investment opportunities, working at some of the largest banks and financial institutions.He has more than 30 years of experience in investment banking, focused on strategic growth, capital raising, and structuring innovative financial solutions.
Loosley has an extensive institutional network and has demonstrated success in securing capital for insurance-linked strategies (ILS) and other alternative investment strategies.
The company said he is expected to be “instrumental in advancing Euler’s long-term growth objectives.”
Loosley most recently worked at Nomura as Managing Director, leading capital market distribution across the EMEA region.
Prior to that, he spent 13 years at Credit Suisse including as Co-Head of European Cross-Asset Solutions Coverage, as well as 14 years at Goldman Sachs including as Head of Nordic Fixed Income Coverage.

At Euler ILS Partners, Loosley will be tasked with expanding the global client base and strengthening relationships with institutional investor partners.
He’s expected to play a central role in driving capital formation across both existing and new strategies.
Euler ILS Partners has an ambition to scale up its product offering and broaden its presence in complementary areas of alternative investments, something Loosley will be expected to help drive forwards.
The latest hire comes on the heels of the ILS manager announcing the appointments of Anton Commissaris as Head of Wholesale Distribution and Dario Peier as Investment Analyst.
