So what does it mean to command your morning? This is a simple technique based on using scriptural truths to allow you to walk in greater authority over your day. To command literally means to give a charge or put it into order. You can determine how your day proceeds by claiming Scriptural truths over yourself and your family in your early morning prayers.
Some examples of commanding your morning include things like decreeing and confessing that you are a friend of God (James 2:23) and that you have favor with God and with man (Proverbs 3:4). You can claim that God withholds no good thing from your family (Psalm 84:11) and that your children are being transformed to become godly children because it is the desire of the Lord (Malachi 2:15). Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank You for allowing the sun to rise again this morning, giving me the grace to wake up refreshed and renewed for one more day. Thank You for allowing me to start anew today, embracing new opportunities to make the most of today, and give You glory and honor as I proceed throughout my day. I wake up this morning with my eyes fixed upon You, longing to see the ways that You will reveal Yourself to me in the things big and small comprising my day.
Lord, I pray that You will give me wisdom and discernment to make decisions that are in line with Your will today. Protect me from making poor decisions or from speaking words that do not honor You or are not based on truth. May Your promises always be in the forefront of my mind and may I claim Your truth when worry or fear try to distract me. Thank You that You are so much greater than anything that I might face today. Remind me that You are my strength and my shield and that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Hear my cry for help, my King and my God, for to You I pray.

Dear Precious Lord,
I come to You first thing in the morning and present my requests before You, trusting that You will take charge of the events of my day and work all things out according to Your will. I pray that by the power of the Holy Spirit You will protect my health today and also protect the well-being of my entire family. I declare that any plans or intentions of the evil one to harm, distract, or weaken my faith will be diverted and will not come to pass.
I thank You, Lord, for the gift of life and Your provisions of strength, courage, faith, humility, patience, and boldness in my life. Dear Most Holy God,
As I wake up this morning, I am so grateful that You are a God filled with mercy and grace who forgives our sins and cleanses our hearts and souls if we humbly ask for Your forgiveness. I come to You on my knees this morning, confessing that I have not pleased You with the way I have been behaving and the words I have been speaking. O Merciful Savior, please have mercy upon me and forgive me. Create in me a clean heart and wipe my soul clean from the sins I have committed.
Lord, there are times when pride, selfishness, and self-centeredness get in the way of loving and serving others as I should. I often try doing things my own way instead of trusting You to lead me and guide me in the way I should conduct myself. I am truly sorry and repent of my sinful ways. This morning I come into Your presence and receive Your forgiveness. Thank You for taking me back into Your arms.

Dear Christ Jesus,
I thank You, Lord, for this new day that You have created for me and I delight in all the new things You are teaching me about intimacy in my relationship with You. I begin my day realizing that I can not do this on my own. I am completely dependent on You to help me, guide me, and give me the strength and stamina to make it through each day. I bow down before You, completely surrendering every part of my heart, soul, and spirit into Your hands.
Jesus, I acknowledge that You have total authority over my life and that You are the One who is in control of every aspect of my life. I submit to You as my Lord and worship and adore You as the Lord and King of my life. Lord, as I acknowledge Your Lordship in my life, help me to stand firm on all of the promises that You have declared as truth in Your Word. Dear Lord God,
I praise and worship You as my faithful Father, precious Savior, powerful Spirit, glorious God, Creator, Redeemer, and so much more. It is by Your grace alone that I am able to live for another day. Lord, Your presence sanctifies and redeems every part of my heart, soul, and spirit as I pursue a life of love and intimacy with You. There is nothing that gives me greater joy than experiencing Your presence touch the inner parts of my soul. Your love is better than life itself and I will seek You all the days of my life.

Dear Holy God,
I enter Your Presence this morning so that I might start my day focused on You, longing for You to purify my heart and soul as we journey through this day together. I long to give You the firstfruits of my heart and soul, offering to You the best part of myself that I have to offer. You deserve the first portion of my time, my talents, my thoughts; I want to surrender all I have into Your arms to be used for Your purposes and Your glory.
Lord, I want to reflect Your character, Your goodness, Your grace, and Your compassion in all that I say and do today.
