Brian Chamberlain, IP Telecom and Tech Excellence Awards 2024 person of the year Carmel Owens
The person of the year award at the Tech Excellence Awards in association with IP Telecom in 2024 went to Carmel Owens of GlobalLogic.
With more than 20 years’ experience in the IT sector, Carmel Owens joined Athlone-based software and cloud specialist Sidero as CEO in 2020. During this time, she led the continued growth of the business and, in a move spearheaded by Carmel, Sidero was ultimately acquired by digital engineering leader GlobalLogic (a Hitachi Group Company) in July 2023.
