In another example of the expanding duties that legal chiefs are taking on across corporate America, building materials giant Owens Corning on Wednesday said it has put General Counsel Gina Beredo over HR as well and given her the additional title chief administrative officer.
The promotion coincides with the exit of Chief Human Resources Officer Paula Russell, a 25-year Owens Corning employee who’s been HR chief for six years. Russell will transition her responsibilities to Beredo by mid-April “as she begins her planned path to pursue personal growth opportunities aligned with her passions,” CEO Brian Chambers said.
