Nominations Are Being Accepted Until March 28th
Established in 2020, the Nancy Z. Bender Award honors an individual who has demonstrated outstanding customer or community service, as exemplified by Nancy Bender, the Library’s 2019 Insurance Professional of the Year.
The Insurance Library has announced that the deadline to submit nominations for the 2025 Nancy Z. Bender Award is now Friday, March 28.
Nancy delivered a level of customer service that consistently exceeded expectations because Nancy strove to understand her clients’ needs and to do what was necessary to ensure they were met. Combined with a strong worth ethic and commitment to technical mastery, that natural inclination resulted in Nancy’s career offering a timeless model for success.
Michael Pezza, the Library’s Executive Director, said, “The Bender Award, which was established in 2020 in honor of Nancy Z. Bender, is awarded annually to an individual in the insurance field who has demonstrated outstanding customer or community service, as exemplified by Nancy Bender.” Bender is a former Library trustee and was the 2019 recipient of the Library’s Insurance Professional of the Year Award.
Anyone working in an insurance-related field (insurance companies, agents and brokers, risk managers, law firms with an insurance practice) is eligible to be nominated. Those wishing to submit a nomination should go to the Library’s online nomination form at bit.ly/Bender_2025 and provide all the required information. Pezza suggested that “the most persuasive nominations will likely be those that provide detailed, specific statements of support for the nominee.”
