The economic uncertainty around U.S. tariffs and their impact has slowed deal activity and, correspondingly, the lateral moves market for Canadian corporate lawyers, recruiters say.
The corporate side within Big Law has been the hardest hit since Donald Trump first threatened, and has now implemented, widespread tariffs, said Warren Bongard, president of ZSA Legal Recruitment.
