Anti-SLAPP Defense Expected in Ex-GMU Law Professor’s Defamation Jury Trial

Jury selection is set to begin Monday in a defamation trial that will determine whether former George Mason University law professor Joshua D. Wright will receive a $108 million damages award from two female attorneys who accused him of sexual misconduct.

The defendants in the case—Kirkland & Ellis partner Elyse Dorsey and Freshfields litigator Angela Landry—are expected to mount an anti-SLAPP affirmative defense through their counsel.
