About the 8th Victor’s Moot
As the premier International Commercial Arbitration Moot Competition in Sri Lanka, The Victor’s Moot provides law students with an invaluable platform to enhance their advocacy, research, and dispute resolution skills. Organized by the Moot Society of Sri Lanka Law College.
Are you ready to put your legal advocacy skills to the test on an international stage? Sri Lanka Law College, under the auspices of the Incorporated Council of Legal Education, is pleased to invite law schools and universities worldwide to participate in the 8th Victor’s Moot – H V Perera QC Memorial International Moot Competition 2025.
Competition Details
- Dates: 5th & 6th July 2025 (Virtual Format)
- Two Preliminary Rounds (each team argues as both Claimant and Respondent)
- Semi-Final Rounds (Top 4 teams)
- Final Round (Knock-out format, judged by an esteemed panel of arbitrators)
- Plate Round (For teams finishing in 5th & 6th place competing for the Plate Round Championship)

The 8th Victor’s Moot is centered around International Commercial Arbitration, a critical area of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) that is shaping global legal practices. This competition offers law students an opportunity to:

Important Note: At this stage, you are not required to provide details of all participants. You only need to include the name of a contact person, allowing you to finalize your team selections after registration.
Registration Process
- Application Submission – Deadline: 23rd March 2025
- Selection Announcement – Shortlisted teams will be notified
- Qualified Teams Registration – Confirm participation
Selection will be based on the achievements and experience of the participating teams in mooting competitions.
