2 men charged for hacking into 20 ATMs

Two men have been arrested in Charleston, South Carolina and charged with hacking into 20 ATMs.

Shyrokyi Vladyslav, 29, is facing four counts of safecracking, and Nikita Ptushkin, 35, is facing five counts of safecracking, according to a report by Live 5 News.

An owner of 20 ATMs in a variety of states first reported his ATMs had been drained of funds through a hacking incident. He lost $70,000.

Local police worked with the United States Secret Service and the South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division in the case.
