SEC Taps Attorney to Lead New Team to Replace Crypto Asset and Cyber Unit

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission formally announced the end of an era on Thursday, creating the Cyber and Emerging Technologies Unit to replace the Crypto Asset and Cyber Unit.

Laura D’Allaird will lead the new unit, which comprises approximately 30 fraud specialists and attorneys across multiple SEC offices.
