Following a string of widely publicized national tragedies amid divisive politics at the start of 2025, Atlanta-based Big Law attorney-turned-therapist Stacey Dougan shared her assessment of the current state of mental health in the legal profession with the Daily Report.
With lawyers making up about 90% of her clientele, Dougan said she’s noticed an ongoing trend of attorneys feeling stressed by a pair of external factors: law firm “return to office” policies and uncertainty surrounding the rollout of Trump-era politics.
